AAWIC SYMPOSIUM

About the Symposium

We bring together a network of industry professionals, experienced filmmakers, and experts who share their expertise and guide participants through the intricate processes of film production, festival submission, and distribution. During our symposium, attendees will gain comprehensive knowledge on submission insights for film festivals, understanding the requirements and expectations of festival programmers, and strategizing to maximize their chances of selection and recognition. We delve into the nuances of creating impactful marketing materials, writing captivating synopsis, and leveraging social media and other promotional platforms to create buzz around their films.


Moreover, we equip participants with the necessary tools and insights to navigate the evolving landscape of film distribution. We explore the growing influence of streaming app platforms and provide practical guidance on utilizing these platforms to reach wider audiences, secure distribution deals, and generate revenue streams for their films. From understanding licensing agreements to optimizing digital marketing campaigns, our workshop empowers filmmakers to embrace the digital age and leverage technology to their advantage.

There will be no ticket purchases at the door. All tickets have to be purchased online. 

 

Scholarships are available for aspiring filmmakers/content creators between the ages of 18-25yrs. to attend.
