AAWIC ANTI-GUN VIOLENCE

  • AAWIC successfully produced the AAWIC Anti-Gun Violence Tour. It was initiated in response to all of the mass shootings that took place in our country with so many lives lost unnecessarily. The goal for the creation of this program was to engage a continual community dialogue to identify executionable ways that communities can come together to speak on the issue of gun violence and what can be done as citizens to address the issue with practical application. The event  featured remarks from community leaders, gun violence survivors as well as film screenings on the anti-gun violence topic followed by a discussion to address the issue.
